So, What's Growing On?

So, What's Growing On?

For the winter I've planted a wide range of veggies. Many varieties of kale and silverbeet, broccoli for heads and sprouting varieties, cauliflower, brussel sprouts green/ruby, cabbage, lettuces, peas and beans and many more.

All of these beds were interplanted with supporting plants such as onion or garlic which help deter insect pest issues through scent confusion. Despite these steps, I had a rabbit invasion which rapidly with in two weeks ate the entire winter planting I had! This is a lesson you only learn once, I had young plants establishing them selves with no protection from large pest, Preventing this in the future I will be using nets over the new plants in the ground for their first six weeks or until they are established and an no longer a target from rabbits
